Biography:
As a kid growing up in Los Angeles, Danny was obsessed with using his dad's Hi8 camcorder. What began as filming skateboarding tricks, inspired by 411 skate videos, quickly evolved to short skits and lip-synced music video shoots with friends-You know Ice Ice Baby was in that mix. After high school, he ran a four color process Didde MVP printing press, which served as a two year immersion into color science across a variety of mediums, while also developing mechanical and machine skills.
In 2004, at 21 years old, he started working as an assistant cameraman and a jib tech - both in studio and in the field.for broadcast television Including: Live entertainment and sporting events along with scripted & reality TV. Those opportunities eventually led to commercials, music videos and movies.
After joining IATSE Local 600 he became a studio pedcam operator in 2006, working at CNN on Larry King Live.
In 2008, he became a camera crane operator, working on E! News, The Daily10, Fashion Police, Attack of the Show, X Play and more.
All of this led to the start of his own production company in 2012 - transitioning to cinematographer & Steadicam operator.
Since opening his company, he has been shooting everything from commercials and network series, to feature films for clients such as: Instagram, NFL Network, Fox Sports, Apple TV, Ellen, Oprah, SciFi Network, Abercrombie&Fitche, Harley, Beach Bodies, Callaway Golf, and countless other networks, productions, and companies.
Most recently, while being dual based in Los Angeles and Montana, he’s ventured into writing/producing/directing a short films and commercials using the Sony Venice, Arri Trinity, and steadicam. When he isn’t working on projects, he either working the land in MT or reaching out to the local community by offering the use of his equipment to mentor aspiring filmmakers and camera operators.
